New figures analysing sewage dumped in Council areas have revealed that sewage was dumped into waterways in Gateshead for 15,977 hours in 2023.

Jamie's passionate about the environment working to better the North East green spaces for all, supporting the green transition to tackle climate change via promotion of initiatives such as green energy generation and Net Zero transport.

The levels of recorded mumps cases in Gateshead per 100,000 sits at nearly three times the level of the whole of England and Wales, according to a council report.
