A Lib Dem Council would empower residents to have a real say over issues that matter. In the meantime we speak up for people who all too often feel let down. Gateshead charges the highest levels of Council Tax for band D properties of any metropolitan borough in the country but residents feel that it is out of touch and unresponsive. That has to change!

Gateshead Council debate on the Liberal Democrat motion, calling to ensure Gateshead Football Club has a 10 year tenancy at Gateshead Stadium which the Council are looking to transfer to another management. The motion was rejected by Labour.
