A Lib Dem Council would empower residents to have a real say over issues that matter. In the meantime we speak up for people who all too often feel let down. Gateshead charges the highest levels of Council Tax for band D properties of any metropolitan borough in the country but residents feel that it is out of touch and unresponsive. That has to change!

Our team of 18 Councillors represent seven wards across Gateshead. We actively campaign across the borough in all wards. We have been the only Opposition to Labour on the Council since 1996.
